The crowd clearly enjoyed your performance as much as I did. You certainly have a great talent!

Your voice and the drama you convey with your smile and stage presence were outstanding at the Trade Center. The CD Live at the Provencal: Opera Night with Darby Tench and Tom Oesterling captures your special spirit and the high quality of your singing.

"The nightingale who performed at the grand piano in the dining room during our dinner worked her way through wonderfully fresh sounding renditions of standards and show tunes ... she sang beautifully in Portuguese and French. Volume was perfect for enjoyment without drowning conversation."

Taking a George Washington-style hat and placing it on the head of [UNH Spanish Professor] Marti-Olivella, and covering the head of another audience member with a large white wig, Tench finished her performance with an animated opera piece ["Una voce poco fa / Io sono docile" from Rossini's The Barber of Seville]. The room was filled with the laughter of the audience . . . the audience members played their parts well.
